We welcome volunteers who would like to participate in our Programs, either on a regular basis or for specific projects. There are three main categories in which one can assist, namely, School Programs (At the heart of all Chess in the Schools programming is the chess instruction. The School Program teaches chess to students in elementary and middle schools as part of their academic school day.), Tournaments (The Tournament Program offers 30+ chess tournaments throughout the academic year, each of which draws between 400 and 600 players from kindergarten through high school.) and Train The Trainer (Train The Trainer (TTT) is a program that teaches educators in Malaysia how to implement a chess program at their school.).
Membership is open to all, individuals and corporations alike. Non-Malaysian residents who subscribe to our aims and objectives may enroll for associate membership. We welcome students of schools, colleges and universities to join us and participate in our activities.
Being member you will receive invitations to events & to participate in all our programs. You could also contribute time by being a volunteer to our out reach program.
